  • Yes, we do! alive Academy is certified by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC), enabling us to provide official tuition tax receipts (T2202). This allows students to claim a portion of their enrollment fees as a valuable tax deduction.

Enrollment fees are broken down into the following components:

    • Tuition
    • Registration
    • Textbooks
    • Shipping
    • Other expenses (including Financing)

Of these, only the tuition costs are eligible for a tax credit, a change implemented by the CRA in 2017.

To access your T2202 tuition tax receipt, simply follow these easy steps:

    Step 1: Visit aliveacademy.com.

Step 2: Click on the 'Tax Login' link located at the bottom of any web page.

The remainder of your tuition amount will appear on next year's tax receipt. If, on the other hand, you started your 24 week course in April that ended in December, the full amount of your tuition would be claimed on your T2202.

  • A Nutritionist, Nutritional Consultant, and Dietitian each play distinct roles in the field of nutrition and wellness. A Nutritional Consultant specializes in natural health and nutrition, offering unbiased advice with a focus on integrative nutrition therapy, bio-individuality, and optimal well-being. They do not diagnose or treat diseases but provide nutritional information and dietary guidance, tailoring recommendations to an individual's unique biochemistry. The title Nutritionist is often used interchangeably with Nutritional Consultant and may lack legal protection in many regions. On the other hand, a Dietitian holds a Bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition, specializing in institutional diets and food service management, and is regulated by provincial legislation. While Dietitians focus on creating diets for hospital patients, school food service programs, and similar settings, they may not typically follow a holistic approach to nutrition. Understanding these distinctions can help individuals make informed choices based on their specific needs and preferences in the field of nutrition and wellness.
